Now even with 100% more louder

After starting the music collection int the last post, I just found out how easily I can add Youtube videos to this blog. So now we can even include the music videos on the blog.
The first video is a mash-up of six songs by this guy called Norwegian Recycling. Pretty cool.

Music

It would be nice to have a personal music playlist for our wedding, with songs that in some way have a personal meaning for us. So I just start a list of songs here and we can update it over time.

1. The Gift by Jim Brickman: Yee Lin sent me this song in an email and it has been OUR song from then on. A really beautiful song.
2. Everytime We Touch by Cascada: The lyrics are on the card that Yee Lin gave me on our first xmas. We could not spend xmas together, but it was still special and I still have the card. Or maybe we should choose the original version by Maggie Reilly as it might be more suitable for a wedding
3. Can you feel the love tonight by Elton John: we sang this song karaoke together on the evening when I had to fly back to Germany
4. Come what may from the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack: Just says what everyone wants to hear from his wife/her husband.
5. Your song by Elton John, also from the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack.
6. Collide by Howie Day: very nice and romantic song. I sent the lyrics to Yee Lin when she was down.
7. Some of the nice acoustic songs that we loved to hear at Walla's and that I can't remember all now.

To be continued :)

Wedding gowns

:) speaking about weddings.. as much as I detest the whole hooo-haa and overhyped things related to them, we alwasy do wish to have our dream wedding..

(esp with good photographers- note from cousin: dont' Scrimp on photographs! you woouldnt' want to regret many years down the road when you look like a geisha/doll/what's not on ur photos.
Wedding dresses are tops on the list!! must invest in a good one!! :) well with the sky high prices oof those "princess"-looking gowns in singapore, most of us tend to rent them.. after all you wont' be wearing them more than once (I hope!). on the contrary, i've hear do f some couples who flew to vietnam or china to tailor make their dresses as it is really affordabel and nice! think of it, to get ur own tailor-made wedding gown!

so i decided to surf the net and guess what i came up with..

most of the dresses seemed to have the bustier design, bare shoulder kind of look.

which thankfully i have nice shoulders (thanks to SQUASH )

this on the far right is nice.. coz its a beige/ivory colour and reflects really nicely off her tanned skin! (means i'll have to find time off from the white washed walls of the hospitals in order to soak up some UV rays!)

but it looks more for the evening/dinner or after the main ceremony type of dress.

oh look at this!
this is so far my no1 pick!! :) really royal looking with a nice corset back :)
only problem is you relaly have to have a nice skinny waist to accentuate those curves made by the huge skirt..
This one is the simple wedding gown
the skirt should technically be more flattering for ppl with big hips (like me)
And these are all made from china. the website gives you instructions of what measurements to take and e luxury to pick any colour/material you want! but obviously they have a selected panel and you can ask for a sample panel of the material that they use.
cost? they range from US 65 to about US 140. which is around SGD 98 bucks and SGD 200 plus respectively. whihc is considered a goodprice considering renting a gown woudl cost SGD 250 at some places!! and i remember during high school prom, some girls spent at least 300 bucks for their dress!!
ok then. that's all for now.. back to the books :) let me know what you think of it :) esp my husband :) haha after all you'll be signing the cheques ;) wheee~
